The proof is in the pudding and we'll all have a better idea in a couple of months. But if you listen to the "experts" and the bookies - yes!
i would put pompey as strong favorites for promotion in our division but sometimes football has a way of kicking you in the arse just when you think things are going well.my money is going on them.i hope i haven't jinxed your lot now
Think Northampton will be a threat, who knows; lower leagues are harder to predict - the fact that Yeovil can get into the Championship anything is possible. I would like to think we'd be up there though.
I've been very wary of pre-season bookies prices since 2008-09 when Havant & Waterlooville were pre-season favourites for Conference South and finished in the bottom half!
I reckon you'll be in the play-offs at least, but really this coming season is just going to be one big party for you guys. I just hope that you don't start 'expecting' promotion and act like Billy big bollox with the other clubs, just enjoy the season like a person that cheats the hangman enjoys the rest of his life!
Best price Evs for promotion and odds on with some. Pompey should get promoted and I wish you well but evens at this stage is too risky for me.
I like Stewie's thoughts on the subject, and can only hope he is right. It is going to be a long and interesting season, but if we all approach it correctly, there is no reason why we can't have a satisfactory outcome Whilst we must keep our feet on the ground, and remain sober in our thoughts................ .........the thought of us reaching 100 points, is most palatable
My feeling is that we are going to have a less than impressive start to the season. Although with luck I'm hoping we win the first game next week. The team haven't really learnt how to play with and for each other yet - they need time still to gel, they need time to learn how each other likes to play. Big Pat has been a bit frustrated at the way some balls have been delivered to him (or not). But then once it all clicks with them........ around about October.......... we're going to go on a fantastic run......... all the way up the league
I'll have a pint of what your on please !! Lets hope it call goes well and you succeed in promotion with all due humility and restrained joy.
He wouldn't want to see what I've got at home especially now I am in England for 4 weeks on my own !!! without her. Many congrats on your choice of feminine company PL - if that what awaits you why would you give a FF about football - Happy catch up.
I think as per Saints Alive that we first and foremost need to just savour the season - we were not liquidated, we have many reasons to be proud of our fans stepping up to the plate and restoring some pride to our club and city....now lets just enjoy it and retain humility and a sense of joy that we own our own club......all being well we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season and most important is that we are there at all....the tunnel may be behind us but looking back over our shoulder now and again I think will be a sensible thing to do.
