Sometime you wish they have not stop production of certain TV series. I live to watch "This is your life". Would like them to start a new series. What about you?.
I think in terms of shows that have ended there may be a lot of harking back to earlier seasons of these shows. I think someone should try t remake the wire in some form. not completely, not calling it the same but the genre had a lot going for it. another show of the type would be good.
- Being Human - God yes, a great show ruined by all its cast leaving and moving it to Wales (!!! the ****? !!!) - Shameless - God no, that went on for far too long as it is. Suffered from the same problem as Being Human, couldn't keep hold of its cast. Got too ridiculous! - Two pints of Lager - Not even remotely funny, I am all for seeing Sheridan Smith's cracking body in chavvy, revealing outfits, but the show was dreadful - Friends - Loved Friends, but it ran its course, a One off special set 10 years later would be okay if they write it decently, but I wouldnt like to see the show revived or remade in any way I will also add, as I am its biggest cheerleader. If you want more shameless, watch the US version, it is written by people who know how to write and has actors with a modicum of talent. Unlike the UK version where all the decent actors left after season 3 (Anne-Marie Duff, James McAvoy, Maxine Peake), leaving only David Threlfall as the only talent in the whole show.
misfits... e4 cult show... again as bod said above could not hod cast and really ****ed it up. Was this irish guy who was hilarious (my cumface punchline) and the girl out of recent noah debacle on bbc. She was right sluttly in misfits. first series was gold.
I agree with bod on shamelss. the us version was 10 times the show. all shows run their course but friends could be done again in another format.. same for say.... that 70s show awful here but very good in usa.... how about that 90s show and have a poke at how backward we all were only 15 years ago.
Well two, Two Pints of Lager was awful and totally unfunny. Friends only on the condition that its a One off. Being Human I agree with because it was a great concept, but I hate shows whose cast ditches en mass every season or two. And I am like "Who are these new gimps and why should I care about them?" When your core cast member(s) leaves, its time to end the show *cough* Homeland *cough* US Office *cough* X-Files Being Human had a US remake too I seem to remember, but I never watched it, think it got cancelled though.
homeland was pish 3rd season with brodie very just silly and this last one in pakistan was woefully poor. it was annoyingly stupid in fact. It had lots of bits on their wo nand twists that were good but it was then tied together with stupidity, crappy scenarios and just totally stupid thinkgs occuring that would never ever happen that way.
The most successful show in history. And the most watchable, the few people I have found that don't like it (My wife included) are mostly people who cannot get their head around Americanisms. There are two types of people in this world, those who like Friends, and those who are soulless.
Being Human had a UK remake (it may have been online only) but it was poor and didn't last long. Not responded to your BS view on Two Pints I said Friends but TBH, I was responded in more of a "was said to see it end" way rather than what I would have liked to see continue. All four I said had run their course. I won't even entertain US versions anymore, they are always shocking.
friends had really ran on 3 seasons at least too much. I think early on is where it caught its audience was was genuinely funny. after that though.... it was comfort watching and the laughs dropped off.
I will concede that, the last couple seasons werent the best, it should have ended a year or two earlier, but still very watchable. And Joey is awesome! Thats Joey the character, not the ****ty spin off, which sucked
