    hi Exiled

Can't really argue with any of the Heaton review. I actually preferred him over our first choice but there was/is very little between them imo. Form/favouritism kept his league appearances to a minimum but with a decent run of games I think he'll do a good job for you guys.

I thought Paul Anderson did a decent job when he played for us. Strong in a challenge, knew how to pass well. I'd have kept him at the time (if I remember well enough). If he's progressed along those lines since then, he should be a good signing.

Toss a coin between Tom Heaton and Marshall as to who is the better keeper. That Malky kept faith with him even in the Carling Cup Final tells you something. Dave Jones had a whole sesson when he couldn't make up his mind between them - neither could most of the fans, including me (not the most commanding of keepers in the air, but a great shot stopper and everything sticks like glue). Usually there is a clear difference between your number one and two. Heaton would be first choice at most Championship clubs.

Two excellent well informed snippets regards our new players,I think between Gerkin and heaton we have two excellent keepers,I preferred Gerkin in goal to James by a mile.

The lad Anderson obviously has it in him, hopefully our coaches can bring it out.

But the lad Cunningham from man city, who seems to be rated very highly by the man city fans looks like being the best of three arrivals so far.

    All good signings though.

Id say Heaton is your typical no.2. Average at everything - shot stopping , crosses.

Marshall our no.1 is by far a better shot stopper.

Heaton is also short for a keeper.

We are a top end Championship team with a much better squad than yours. Id have been more than happy with Heaton to stay as our no.2.

Your a team looking to survive and he wont let you down as a no.1.

Im suprised youve got Anderson. Good player if fit.

Dont think Heaton will be good enough to keep you in this league though

I was gutted when Heaton left. Will do a good job for you and I wish him the best of luck.

average player, not really bothered that he's gone.

could probably 'do a job' for a lower championship side but thats all really. i wouldnt get too exited if i were a bristol city fan, put it that way. nothing against him i just think he's ok and nothing more.

    Red Robin.

Tom is definately not 6 3 - as you will see very soon. Ive seen different stats for his height. Read the report above regarding crosses and his stature.

Your right some of our fans rate him higher than Marshall. I think Marshall is one of the best in the division. Tom to me isnt. If Tom was 6 3 id say he would be more dominant. But hes not he is a small keeper.

I thought youd signed Jody Morris - if you have I cant think of a worse signing by a Championship club.

I think you will be bottom 6 and probably bottom 3.

I may be wrong on that but im right on Tom being a short keeper.

I've also heard this height thing is a bit of a running myth joke amongst Cardiff fans, surely Wikipedia can't be wrong?!

Largely positive comments though thank you Bluebirds, will be interesting to see who starts on Saturday after Heaton was left out of the League Cup side (a novel experience for him!)
