Probably just fluff but would you want Delort now?

I would not go for him out of principal TBH, like you say had his chance gave it all the big ern about us, next minute on the pitch signing for Wigan .

To me it sounds like we are desperate

To be fair - it wasn't helped by the fact Roland wanted to buy the club, and their chairman then refusing to do business with us out of principal.

If we could get this deal done quickly - as opposed to the summer saga - then let's see what he's got. The move hasn't worked, he went in to a poor side who were forced to change managers. Oh wait, kind of like us ;)

I'd be happy to give the guy a chance. His agent obviously pushed him towards the money, but the move hasn't worked out and he should be chomping at the bit to get his career back on track.

Having options up front would be a huge boon to Big Bob, yet I still think the left and central midfield positions are the ones to concentrate on.

But why can't Delort win a place in a very poor Wigan side? That's my main concern.

Me too. We have strikers who can't score aplenty. I'll take him if

    A) Wigan pay his (probably inflated) wages

    B) We get a clause to sign him at the original 2.5m asking price if we turn him round.

We owe neither party any favours, and ffs, are'nt there any strikers who score out there? Roland is'nt skint so why pay money for a championship flop.
I bet there are'nt many youtube videos of him at Wigan to excite us ;-)

Worth a punt if we can get a potentially talented striker on the cheap. It is not as if we have many other options. No need to worry about disrupting team spirit. That has already gone. Vetokele needs some help and some cover desperately. Delort seems more like a replacement than a partner, but that is not a bad thing.
