Since 1946 upto 2008 I had always thought that City would never get into the top flight but with a lucky run they did. They came close on a couple of previous occasions and there were times when we thought that they couldn't afford to go up so they made sure we didn't. (but that was in my young and foolish days) Now they have been there it makes the Championship look stale stuff. The trouble for me is:- The excitement of the big games might knock me off my perch, and the probable cost may bankrupt me. but most of all if I can't get to see them I will just have argue with you lot on here by watching TV or listening to Burnsie, so what am I to do?
City came close under Raich Carter, Terry Neil & Brian Horton, can't recall how close they came with the 60s team?
