Anyone know how much we are expected to get now from our Korean adventure? Regardless of the money, does anyone else - like me - think it must have done us massive good in the PR stakes. Also. Anyone know when we come home? x
Supposedly £2m for the winner. I think the trip will do a great deal for us and i hope we're doing it well into the future!
Fifty quid......bloody hell, some import duty on them.. Probably cost no more than a couple of quid to make..
The £50 goes to the club lads so I'm not too concerned about it, how much gear does everyone on here buy from Ashleys little rag and bone store that goes indirectly to them up the road? Yes they are well overpriced but, getting pirated or cheaper versions in Bangkok only takes funds away from the club. As for the prize money in South Korea it looks immaterial now going on the game today. Skip that last bit just seen the score 3-2 to us.
500k is better than nothing then! can be added to the wage funds! Then with any money that comes in from S Korea, it can be used to help with the running of the club
you forget mate if the shirts are cheaper more people overseas will buy and wear, free advertising cant be beaten
if they are free (counterfeight) hate the term pirated/pirate then more ppl will have them, so more advertising, and as you say, free advertising cant be beaten. Would be nice to sell some over there, and they will not be £50 over there either, thats only the price here, USA they will be $50-£30 ish, Asia probably the equivilant of about £15-£20 I know for the EPL each club gets an equal share, but for broadcasting abroad do each club do their own (on top of what the PL give us for broadcasting abroad), we could be shown a lot if thats the case and get even more cash.
More like £15 goes to the club. Adidas gets the biggest chunk (hence they pay us) and our deal with Kitbag swallows a sizeable portion of the remainder (they also pay us...)
And I imagine that if the shirts stop selling, they stop paying. Do we have any ideas as to a rough figure that we receive from Kit bag and Adidas?
For the first time in living memory I find myself reluctant to buy the shirts for me and the kids due to the price hike..
Surely the deal is XXX amount over X years, like Liverpool is £150,000,000 over 6 years = 25million a year with Warrior Sports. If they dont sell that many, tough ****, the contract is we get the cash regardless, there may be a get out clause for both parties at the end of each season, but the contract will be binding. as for kitbag, not a bloody clue, but i doubt they will be in with the deal from adidas it will be a seperate contract I would presume, kitbag dont even have the new strips for sale yet. PS: I could be well wrong though lol
Well if that's the case, it must be a full blown orgy with them lot up the road with the likes of Cabaye, ben Arfa etc.
