There were a lot of Anglo-Irish entries in the original list, including Aaim To Prosper, Repeater, Colour Vision, Lost In The Moment, Royal Empire, No Heretic, Rite Of Passage, Well Sharp and Tiger Cliff. I guess they are all preferring the stayers’ race on Champions’ Day.
I’ve always thought that High Jinx when he gets his ground is a very useful stayer. Was 2nd in this race last term whilst he was a very promising runner-up last time after 3.5 months on the sidelines. Another reason this race might be losing some of its appeal is the huge prizemoney increase given to the Cesarawitch this year. Up from £160k to £250k this time around.
