I know there's stuff (including my own) about their signing on the Transfer Rumour thread but since neither is a rumour any longer, thought we should honour them with a thread of their own.

Anyway, they've both signed 2 year deals with a one-year Club option and will officially become Fulham players when their respective contracts with Rotherham United (Pringle) and Bolton Wanderers (Lonergan) expire on Wednesday 1st July.

Here's a link to the Official Announcement which of course provides mini-bios and pictures [no new Sponsor's logo on the shirts, however!!]

I'm very happy with Pringle and believe Lonergan is a step from Kiraly, hopefully a couple of big defensive signings will follow!

I think Lonergan is a good signing. A solid if unspectacular keeper, who can back up Betts and hopefully push him.

Pringle is more of a gamble, but a left sided midfielder is definitely a need.

Pringle is also direct and energetic and can cross a ball also a need

I'm happy with Pringle and Lonergan signings. Pringle seemed to be one of the better midfield opposition last season and he was on my wish list. I guess it will be if he can form a partnership and become more consistent then he has been against the top teams in this Division.
The signing of Lonergan must mean that they are Looking to move Stekelenberg on, may be to Southampton if Rumors are true. Strange that Bolton have let both Bogdan (Liverpool) and Lonergan go, may be that is because of trouble with their finances.
Both players seem a step up from the players they might be replacing Kiraly and Chihi.

Funnily enough I was thinking about Bolton today and the apparent money problems and was wondering about a cheeky bid for there young attacking sensation Zak Clough

I don't think Lonergan is coming here to be back up, he's here as number 1. Lonergan spent most of his 2 years at Bolton on the bench, are we to assume he's came here to spend another 2 years on the bench? I wouldn't. I'd guess that he's been promised game time to sign for us, I'm sure he probably had other options so whoever he signed for will probably have had to tell him he'll be number 1.

Pringle I know nothing about but it's good to see that other are pleased with his signing, hopefully he can become a good player for us.

I remember him at the cottage, he's got quite a distinctive look! He's a very good signing - can't quite believe we're buying a left winger. Could it be? Will Kit play with some width?

My eldest lad (who knows more about other teams in the championship than me) reckons Pringle is a left and/or central midfielder, meaning he might have been signed to play the left sided role of Kit's favoured diamond, rather than as an out and out winger. While I'm not keen on us continuing with the diamond, I suppose that if we're going to play it, it's better to have the players that might make it work.

Solid signings. Personally I want some decent pro's to come in and get us solid again. Pringles was excellent and with LVC and Hyndman would be a decent midfield?

I think Captain Jr is probably spot on - I've not seen much of him beyond the game last season but looking around online it appears he can play across the midfield.

A middle three of LVC, Hyndman and Pringle with a strong defensive mid behind, a new centre back and two fullbacks who can overlap mightn't be a bad team although I would really prefer them worked into a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 than the diamond.

It's gone a bit quiet on the Roberts move front, a season with Pringle and Pat on the wings would be an exciting prospect.

I'm sure he's been promised the chance to battle for a starting spot, but I don't think a 31 year old goalkeeper who hasn't been a number 1 for two years at a lower Championship club can expect to be a starter unless they drop a division.
