To be fair Jonno it is now an exceptional service - sure it screws up now and again but that's the same with everything. it is bloody expensive though.

One gripe i do have is all the chancers getting away using children's tickets on tubes and buisses - they need to be stopped as they're ramping up the prices for the rest of us.

Everywhere is getting more expensive ...

I live 5 miles away from Glasgow city centre... costs me a fiver a day to travel on the bus that takes 30 - 45 mins and doesn't run to the advertised timetable.

The cost of living in this country V payscale is getting out of control.

If everyone worked a bit harder they'd make more money thus any price rises wouldn't be a problem. :)

Pretty much a contributing factor to why I decided to accept the job here - the cost of travel and living wasn't comparable with the wages on offer.

The cost of trains is insane, and the service is ****ing woeful.

I pay about £120 a month to travel round most of central London as much as I want. They're making the tube 24h a day on weekends soon too.

It's quite expensive but worth it, costs so much less than a car and you can be as pissed as you want and it's easy to get home.

    London wins <party>

Amen to that. It would be worth putting up with terrorists, trigger happy cops and all the other **** just to be as far as possible from ER :)

I might have to move further south to escape properly. When the wind turns, I swear you can smell the stench of old pish and failure drifting down from Aberdeen...

London. A nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there.

Aye, but you're a self-confessed miserable bastard so London suits you. Which makes your "perfectly happy down here" comment somewhat ironic.
