Preview: Spurs vs QPR Form Guide
Spurs’ manager Andre Villas Boas is under a lot of scrutiny, but a 3-1 victory at Reading last week has eased the pressure on the Portuguese manager. The visit of winless QPR will be a perfect way for Tottenham to kick on and prove that they’re still top 4 contenders Posted on September 22, 2012 by PlayUp Football

    The Stats:

•Tottenham have lost only two of their last 15 home matches.
•Meanwhile, QPR have won none of their last 15 away matches, drawing three and losing 12.
•Spurs are yet to concede a goal in the first-half this season.
•With 26, Jermain Defoe has had more shots than any other player in the Premier League so far.
•Bobby Zamora is the only player to score for Mark Hughes’ side in the league so far this season. The forward has bagged two for the R’s.

Before last season, the sides hadn’t met in the Premier League since 1995. Tottenham recorded an easy 3-1 win at home in the last campaign, but suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road – one of several results that led to QPR’s survival.

    Team News

    Tottenham:

•Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) is still a few weeks away from a return, meaning Kyle Naughton will most likely continue to fill in for him.
•Younes Kaboul is expected to be out until December with a knee injury, Steven Caulker replaced him on Thursday night’s Europa League clash with Lazio, and should continue to start at centre-back.
•Emmanuel Adebayor missed the match with Lazio with a hamstring strain, his fitness remains a doubt.
•Scott Parker could feature after finally recovering from an Achilles problem that has kept him out since August.
    QPR:

•QPR’s Andy Johnson is likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
•The 31-year-old limped off in the 32nd minute of Saturday’s goalless draw against Chelsea at Loftus Road in just his 4th Rangers’ appearance.
•Anton Ferdinand and Fabio da Silva (both hamstring) look set to miss out after also picking up injuries in last week’s West London derby.
•Stephane M’Bia, who could have been drafted in at the back, is a doubt with a slight knock – which means Jose Bosingwa could start alongside Ryan Nelson in the heart of defence.
