Pretty boring out there, so here's a couple of things to argue about.

    1. Wenger. Anyone know why he wasn't charged for either the push on Jose or saying later he doesn't regret it?

    2. Jose. I think it was less than smart to tell the world he twice knocked back PSG job.
By adding that " I was always first choice before Ancelotti ", I don't think he did himself any favours. Just don't understand why he needs to self praise. We all know how good he is, he doesn't need to keep telling us. Counterproductive.

    3. Alan Hansen. He's leaving the BBC to go to ITV as part of a "comedy sports show". Every sports show Iv'e ever seen him in was a comedy, with him as chief clown. Biased and blinkered, and about as funny as cancer.

    4. Wayne Rooney. Fast approaching the record as Englands' top scorer, I just don't get it. For me he's not close to world class, almost never has been, and is lucky he's even in the squad. He looks past it, out of form or both. Should leave Utd and freshen up his life and game somewhere else. He's coasting on huge wages. There's a word for it, he's a bludger.

    5. Mesut Ozil. Great player not used properly by Arsenal. He needs to float around to be at his best. He was never big enough physically to do the job Arsenal need doing. If he goes to Bayern, he will again be up there with the best.

    1. Haven't a clue.
    2. Contract extension talks in the offing ?
    3. Sorry C.P. Can't agree with you there. Apart from his "never win anything with kids" comment that came back to haunt him, i always found his analysis spot on and always looked forward to hearing it. Not sure either about the bias and blinkered bit. I don't ever remember him holding back if he thought Liverpool were crap in a game. He was their biggest critic to be fair.
    4. Another player who never really delivered what early promise he showed. Can be very frustrating to watch at times but when he's on top of his game he can be unplayable. In my opinion if Jose had prised him away from Utd last season we would have won the league.
    5. Reminds me big time of Mata. Would never have worked with us either. Gets knocked off the ball too easy and seems to lose confidence if things are not going well in a match. Arsenal took an expensive gamble that he could do the business for them but he just doesn't look like he's cut out for the Prem.

    1. Wenger is a Saint!

    2. Everyone (Ale, Rafa, Arsene, Roberto et al) projects their own self - Jose projects his "bigger" self just bigger.

    3. TBH, Don't care about Hansen's opinions. Perhaps, CP meant his recent bias towards manures <whistle>

    4. Shrek got into a soft zone under red nose with too much protection and lost bit of his early career hard work / passion.

Had Jose played me instead of Nando - WE WOULD HAVE WALKED THE LEAGUE LAST YEAR!!
I think Jose tempered the expectations intentionally by playing Nando too many times.

    5. Agreed with both of you.

Imagine the outrage on the goon board had Mourinho shoved Wenger.

Think everyone who complains about Hansen will be eating humble pie after a few more weeks of Shearer and P. Neville.

Hansen was analytical. The others just describe the highlights.

The usual suspects would be be raging but I doubt the majority of people care about a push

    1. Probably 'wasn't in the referees report', which is the usual excuse when the FA want to bury their heads in the sand. I agree, no consistency, and if it were Jose, he would have been slaughtered in the media, and banned.

    2. Mourinho in 'blowing own trumpet' shock. However I would be interested to see the context in which these comments were made. The story comes from a TV interview with Telefoot in France - if he was directly asked the question of whether he would/could have managed PSG, how else is he supposed to answer?

    3. Always thought Hansen was pretty fair myself.

    4. But the fact is, he has scored those goals. Maybe not at his best now, but who would you replace Rooney with in the England team? Best of an un-inspiring bunch, and even if he huffs and puffs throughout the 90 minutes, always feel there is a goal in him.

    5. Completely anonymous last week against us. I don't buy the theory that he is being played out of position - class players will adapt. Disagree with Naas Blue's comparison to Mata, who DID produce for us, wherever in the forward line he played. Just doesn't look happy and, despite assurances to the contrary, probably can't wait to be back home to the Fatherland.
