Hopefully not back to square 1 but I just feel we lack the consistency and quality to go back to back.

Drameh in for Coyle who picked up a fifth yellow card against Swansea.

Really tempted to say Burstow from the off, but think he’ll start Kamara and bring Burstow on at the hour mark again.

Confidence flowing through our dressing room after yesterday, coupled with Preston throwing away the lead to lose their game at QPR = City 2-0

Wouldn’t mind seeing Drameh start on the right with Giles on the left. Coyle could be on the bench if it’s looking like either of them are struggling. Burstow has to start for me alongside Pedro. Kamara looked jaded yesterday.

Not a bad time for Coyle to pick up a one match ban, easy choice at RB and a change that's prob due on current form, tho I'll maintain he's still prob been one of our best players so far this season but is struggling ATM. Wonder if Burstow comes in up front? Pedro looked ****ed at the end of 90 yesterday and maybe Thurs could be a bit too soon? Simmons another who could easily slot in for any of the midfield 3 if legs aren't there too.

I think Burstow is clearly showing more than Kamara, the only argument against making that change is that it sort of represents giving up on Kamara a bit, and he was too big an investment to not persist with. Same way I've felt about Giles and still do feel about Ömür. I want to see us find ways to make these players work because they're clearly good enough. But on the flipside, there has to come a point where someone in better form gets a start.

We need to win this one, then we have credit for upcoming fixture, I am not greedy but this is a must.

Yeah, it's not an absolute thing. But I think there's some benefit to giving players chance to play their way into form sometimes. It's a balance.

I think the belloumi and millar injuries were tough on kamara
He went from being an understudy learning and getting games to be expected to be our main man
And its still only his second proper season at pro level

Pedro was out on his legs yesterday,he was still chasing but you could see his legs had gone.I think he'll start against Preston but can only see him lasting an hour probably? We then go into a tough run of games(Sunday,Weds,Saturday) and the whole team, not just Pedro, will need to find energy from somewhere.

I fancy us to get something,a draw at least at Preston but think we might toil in the next 3..

Really good post this Ric... we're all buoyant after yesterdays important result, but BD's is probably even more so. A win there and the legs wont be half as tired. Then onto Blackburn who we should have got a result against here, Boro and Leeds..

Oxford have Cardiff, Plymouth and Millwall
Plymouth have Coventry, Oxford and Bristol City
Cardiff have Oxford, Watford and Coventry

So our fixtures are much harder... but we can only look after ourselves...
