They were a embarrassment to Football tonight.
What were they playing at.
City where have my team gone,that was not the side that has played so well all season.
3 losses is still a fantastic achievement,however tonight was a selection of players that looked as if they only meet each other tonight.
Let’s hope it was just a blip.Preston need to take a long hard look in the mirror, they were a disgrace to the beautiful game tonight.

 

I was only able to watch the 1st half but my mind thought we are going to get beaten, therefore it was no surprise to return home to see the final score. How is it that their players were virtually allowed to stand on the ball every time we were given a free kick? Isn't that a yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct or for time wasting? Overall we looked poor from what I saw, but it's no disaster and we move on.

 

Their 'spoiler ' tactics worked a treat.
Sorry but as ugly as it was - and frustrating for us - they achieved 3 points.
What were they playing at? Winning.

 

It was just one of those nights tonight . Preston came to frustrate and succeeded , the ref didn't help by letting them get away with blatant time wasting , the moe they got away with it the more time they did it - don't blame them really.
For all of that we still had chances and didn't take them , they cleared it off the line and twice , once in either half , Reid missed a chance near the end and we scored one .
We need to put this performance behind us and get back to normal service against Hull Saturday.

 

Ref was a complete and utter mug.

We struggled (AGAIN) to break down a 'park the bus' side. There is something in the psyche at Ashton Gate about beating teams that are struggling for form or injuries etc.

They were nothing more than cheats and I find it really difficult to pay any respect to the fact that 'cheating' won them the game and that the outcome outweighs the means. it is still cheating and of the worse kind.

Bad night all round.

 

Agree that is not a Preston side you expect to see playing that way.

Just shows how much more respect the team is getting.

Millwall,Burton,Now Preston.

LJ has to find a way of dealing with this type of play.

 

We seemed to give it a real go in the last 20 mins and did really got caught with a sucker punch goal, but the tempo was way too slow first half.

Duric seemed to give up after 20 mins, I'm not sure about his desire myself.

 

Fitness levels look slow very slow,Great in the air.

Matty Taylor should have come on and played alongside Reid up front, I agreed with Patterson being taken of and pack put in the middle.
Obviously if Taylor is on the bench i assume he was match fit.

Just listened to LJ's post match interview and thought how sensible/professional, call it what you want, he came across.
Another tablet maybe but fair play to him.

 

I take your point , however we have to learn how to break teams down who do this or more will attempt this tactic .

 

Many more will follow suit,we must be able to change our game,we need to become a lot more diverse in our play against these sides.

Parking the bus and the cheating are separate issues for me. one is sometimes a no brain option. (like old 'not so bright', he doesn't have a brain)

The other is simply cheating, the ref and the rule makers should address this, 5 mins of added time? I bet they wasted 3 times that.

 

Why would I need to do that? We've won our last two games and you've drawn one and lost one - I make that six points to one. You don't need to win to post on here, but I admit it does help.

As for the "tail between you legs" bit, forum chat is just that - only words on screen. No need to get upset - just go with it.

I'm actually enjoying it over here. Some good posters...........and then again some not so good.
