Stronger team than I expected. Surprised that Timber and Saliba are starting. Happy to see Nwaneri start, though. Will be interesting to see how Setford does. Came in with a big reputation from Ajax.

1-0! Jesus! Finally, he gets a goal!

Lovely floated ball from the free-kick by Martinelli to the back post, Kiwior heads it down and Jesus finishes clinically.

Deserved lead, we've been all over them (as you'd have expected).

Ahh Nwaneri should have made it 2. Good build-up play, Sterling does well to put a good cross in, Merino lays it off to Nwaneri for a free shot on goal and its a tame effort straight at the goalkeeper.

OMG! 2-0! What a goal by Nwaneri! That's a superb curling finish from the edge of the box!

Nwaneri is gonna go far. Boy is some talent.

Decent half - Timber,Jesus and Nwaneri bossing the game.

    HT. 0-2.

Good half from Arsenal. Dominant, fluid, nice rotations and look threatening every time we move forward. Preston don't know whether to stick or twist when Jesus, Martinelli etc drop in between the lines. They've been struggling to track runners and we've been taking advantage. They have no out-ball when they try to go long too, so we're keeping the pressure high up the field. My only wish is that we had another goal or two to give us more comfort and then we could see more changes for the second half.

Happy for Jesus to get his goal, he's been desperate for that for ages. You could see the relief on his face afterwards. As for Nwaneri, man, this kid looks a proper talent. We need to be seeing him more in midfield. He looks like more of a natural fit than Trossard in that CAM position.

Let's hope for more of the same in the second half.

Havertz and Partey on for Timber and Merino at HT.

Why has Havertz made those changes? 2-0 up we don't need Havertz and Partey on.

3-0. Havertz. Excellent cross by Kiwior and Havertz heads it home with a tidy finish.

Careless give away by Kiwior to a Preston player, who plays in one of their forwards and he puts the shot wide. The offside flag went up so it wouldn't have counted. But still. Kiwior's had a good game, silly to give the ball away there.

Saka and Lewis-Skelly on for Martinelli and Zinchenko.

Excellent footwork and skill by Sterling, to get away from two Preston players. He plays it into Jesus, whose shot is saved by Woodman and his parried shot goes back into Sterling, but his finish was right at the goalkeeper. He has another chance on the follow-up but Woodman pushes it out for a corner. Unlucky.

Lovely skill and quick feet by Nwaneri, who takes another shot and it skims the crossbar. Unlucky, he deserves another goal.

Nwaneri's come off for Heaven. I'm surprised Saliba's playing the full 90. Thought he'd definitely be getting a rest.

Setford's kicking hasn't been the best, I have to say. Given he's had relatively little to do all game, haven't been impressed with his distribution.

Poor Sterling <laugh>. He's played well tonight and has done everything apart from score. That's another chance he's had cleared off the line.

To be fair, he should have hit it with more power rather than tried to place it. But unlucky.

    FT. 0-3.

Convincing win, complete domination, job done and into the next round. We deserved a couple more goals, in my opinion, but main thing that matters is we've progressed to the last 8.

Happy to see some of the youngsters get minutes in their legs. Nwaneri was just pure magic. He deserves a start on Saturday in my view, but I don't think he'll get it.

    Onto Newcastle away now...

Arsenal have Crystal Palace at home in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Will definitely take that <ok>. We've had a pretty favourable draw in the Carabao Cup this year. Makes a change from the last few years!
