Sunday in Preston, is there a better way to spend a few hours, watching two of the finest sides in Football League history. Tom Finney and Trevor Ford stay in the memories, albeit dwindling memories. Add to that in more recent times the redoubtable Gary Madine, famous for knocking a few in, in his time! Bit of a bogey side for us, but we gave them a drubbing at theirs a few months ago. Expect another 3-1 win, with Ivanhoe getting a brace! Ivanhoooooooooooooo! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Afternoon from soon to be Tier 3 and don't get me started about that and continual lockdowns on school holidays less than impressed be lovely to see your fans at Deepdale but apparently you are not allowed to fart without permission under The Fuhrer Drakeford.
Think tomorrow is a historic occasion for all the wrong rresons think it's the first time the same two sides have been televised at the same ground without supporters in.
We had a good win last time your lads are strong defensively go for a win for us 8-7, will eventually put a thread on our site when I can get off my arse and do it

It seemed a reasonable and rational question IB! It used to be so simple, you play one away, then one home...it forms a routine that you can plan around....and look forward to! Just imagine if BFB/BT didn’t have a routine and he didn’t know which character he was portraying....is he Arthur or Martha for example....that kind of thing! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Very true Masky. It definitely helps planning when you actually go to games...... <yikes>

Before you ask, BT agrees with me.

Seen the team and it’s negative. Solid but ponderous
Looks like going for 0-0 until an hour and then bring on Wilson Murphy and Glatzel.

Looks like it's a "grind them down and hit on the break at the death" set up.

Fine if it works and Harris will get the plaudits, but if we slip up and give the opposition a goal or two start as usual, we'll be chasing it again.

We’re on the same page there OS - see my post above - Harris’ predictable ploy.

Tomlin not even on the bench.
Would be tough to chuck Wilson straight in. He's probably only had one training session with the squad.
As you rightly say though, predictable.
Looks like a 433 set up. Would have liked to have seen one less of the midfield 3 and one more of the attacking 3.
    Early days.

The seven on the bench themselves tell quite a story. Harris claimed he only needed one centreback on there so he chose Bamba and left Flint out in the cold.

Surprise surprise - Bamba and Benkovic are both on the bench - I make that 2 centrebacks.
