Just watched the August & September instalments of the season review on Saints player. No doubt that the 1st half of the season we played the best football and the movement from the front 4 was superb.
In the second half of the season, whilst overall results were far from bad that style of football became harder to replicate.
Do we put that down to the pressure of increased expectations? The opposition becoming more wise to our style? Or the absence of David Connolly and his intelligent off the ball movement?

I think we suprised alot of teams at the beginning of the season. maybe championship teams were not used to playing against good passing football. Teams sussed that if they boss the midfield then we struggle. Connoly I think was not the problem as we continued scoring goals. I think only man utd scored more than us
