Just before the press conference was broadcast SSN interviewed Huw Jenkins on the phone...he refused to talk about any of the details about Rodgers move to Liverpool etc. Comes across as a class man...Whelan on the otherhand can't help himself...he is just a big gobshite.

No DoF as such, but a 'technical team'. That's fine but feel we need a 'big hitter' to bring in the bigger players?

Other than that I thought BRod did great!

    Its finished now.

No Sporting Director will be brought in. Instead we will have a team of directors working together. This is what Rogers wanted, he said he refused o work under one Sporting Director.

But yeah, that comment from sky is not quite right.

    A few interesting points:

Rogers turned the job down as he didnt think he was first choice, but he was shown by LFC bosses that he was.

Martinez was not offered the job.

He will analyse our squad before thinking about signings.

He focus on respect and not status, and says his first mission is to gain respect from the players.

Tom Werner said he feels Rogers is the man to take us to the top of the footballing world, and thanked Dalglish for his services.

This is why I can't see Van Gaal coming because he will want too much control.
