Johnson calls for perspective: "We're still in a better position than we were this time last year But the reality is that we are only in a better position because the teams below us cant buy a win at the moment. If our losing streak continues over the Xmas, and given the upcoming games who'd bet against it, and the likes of Wolves, Cardiff, QPR, Blackburn, Wigan etc get a few points, it could be squeaky bum time again.
The fact is we are not in a better position,we have spent millions on players,4 MILLION on Engvall and O'Dowda not even playing,TOMLIN the highest paid player ever at the club, and 7 points better off. Is that progression sorry not in my book.
Can't be bothered to look, but I imagine our GD is much better than this time last season, which says to me we can turn things around without disrupting too much.
Progression or not. It's subjective. For example, I'm sure that there are some who think we 'progressed' by getting rid of Johnson senior. I just compare final league positions to form my opinion and I can't see a relegation dogfight followed by a spell in L1 which we have not long recovered from (if we even have) as anything other than a step backwards - but that's me. ............ I'll get my coat .........
Maybe you should get a new book then? Progression definition' the process of developing gradually towards a more advanced state:' So 7pts better of than this time last season fits perfectly well into this.
Gary Johnson went by mutual consent. unless you think assaulting a player at half time is ok he had to go!!!!
Well seeing we've made a profit on transfers in that time I'm not sure where you are getting your info from.
You never start at when you get a sum of money you have to repay the previous and pay the current with an eye on the future ..his comments seem to indicate we will be selling .. "Flint!" .. LETTING GO SOME OTHERS and buying within that budget?
John spot on,i think there will be some names moving on,not a bad thing though. We need to move on from what is not working.
