I assume that because Hughes is still employed by the club the press conference will not be until after 30 June ? But then we play on 30 June in the Europa and surely Jol will be doing his pre-match chat? Also i saw in the Fulham + Hammersmith Cronicle the old Hughes back room boys are still there - Mark Bowen, Glyn Hodges and Eddie Niedzwiecki who were given 2 year deals. So we have these + Hitchcock and the 2 new lads Michael Lindeman and Cornelius âCockâ Jol. Also talk Ray Lewington is going to stay on...thats a seriously heavy backroom.
They'll let the Hughes cronies go soon. They're hanging on due to the contract length and will want compensation if we say adios! Really glad Ray is staying on, if it's true, he is such a good bloke to have around the club.
I don't think there's any law against having more than one manager, is there? We could have fifty of them if we wanted, although it would get awkward... In short, Jol is the manager; Hughes is prevented from coming to work while he serves his notice (as Hughes resigned, Fulham are within their right to enforce "gardening leave") and therefore is irrelevant.
For sure ...it was today... he said Like Arnold Schwarzernegger I said I will be back and here I am... I'm Back. Problems leaving Ajax last year were contractual. Fulhams not a stepping stone for him, as he's been at bigger clubs, but he loves London and looks forward to his time with Fulham with a good squad. With 4 or 5 players leaving he hopes to bring in replacements for them. He never talks about players and he does his business behind curtains. So that means he'll be with us till the vacancy for Dutch International manager.... For sure
