I know it's the season of goodwill to all men, so I apologise if this post causes any offence to anyone.

Courtesy of the BBC web site:

    4 March 1995 - Manchester United 9 Ipswich 0.

    19 September 1999 - Newcastle 8 Sheffield Wednesday 0.

    22 November 2009 - Tottenham 9 Wigan 1

    9 May 2010 - Chelsea 8 Wigan 0

Thought for the evening: "There's history, and there's history, there's records, and there's records" ........

Apparently it's also the first time seven different players from on teams have scored in a match. That's half the team if you count the subs.

Personally would rather Newcastle had finished 9-0 and Man Utd 8-0.

Pretty much every time I heard his name today he was being flagged offside so today he was pretty **** - though I agree that on his day he is superb. Just not today! <laugh> <laugh>

Think he is going to be a star in the Prem, the guy is an absolute beast. Lambert signed well there but Bent probably has everything Benteke doesn't have, for example the predatory instincts and the movement. Them two together would be brilliant I think.

Yeah, not allowed to talk about Lambert at all nowadays...... ironic they call this place a "forum".

I too found the result hilarious.

    That's not at all true.

For what it's worth, I never liked him as a person, but we have much to thank him for.

Glad the nonsense over whatever the hell it was regarding contracts is over, it's not like the legal profession are short of funds.

So happy with 'Houghton' we can finally move on, can't we?

But why are you obsessed with Lambert for taking interest in the result today?

Everytime someone brings up Lambert they are obsessed with him and need to move on sometimes with the posters on here. How does someone bringing up Paul Lambert, who is a former manager of the club they support, mean someone hasn't moved on?

I don't like Lambert anymore, happy when he fails, happy when Hughton succeeds.

Hi. I'm assuming you have me confused with someone else. I'm not at all obsessed with him, and thoroughly enjoyed Villa's drubbing today.

I was commenting on your reply to my post, I said it because Wonky called Kickitoff obsessed for laughing at Villa's result.

    Doesn't matter too much.

Shows you how easy it is to be misunderstood.

I was actually agreeing with you that we should be able to discuss whatever we want on here (within the bounds of reason)

I'm with KIO all the way on this<ok>

    No apology needed <ok>

Here's hoping we don't do a Villa and concede 13 goals against the next two opponents! <yikes>

I'm only saying that because some posters, Norwich ones included, were saying I'm obsessed with QPR!
