For once there seems to be a genuine four-horse title race, the last time I can remember four teams all being in the frame in mid-March was back in 1975-76 when Liverpool, ManUre, Derby and QPR pulled clear at the top. For several weeks all four seemed to win every game they played before ManUre and Derby, both involved in the FA Cup, lost surprisingly and faded out of contention coming into Easter, leaving us and Liverpool to slug it out in the final weeks with a heartbreaking finale robbing us in the last 15 minutes of the season. If this season's run-in is half as good as that year we'll be in for a treat. Personally, I hope Liverpool pull this one off as well. Brendan Rodgers has done a fantastic job improving so many players in that team which were also-rans when he took over less than two years ago. A coach who IMPROVES players, there's a novelty that TF might just take note of. Also, it would be a fitting reward for Steven Gerrard, who has shown loyalty to one club when winning very little, if he were to lift that Premiership trophy which no-one gave them a hope of a the start of the season. What are your thoughts on it?...
Good post mate! I'm whit you on Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers, a good call. Sadly for me my boss is Chelscum and right from the off I predicted it's them or city. As a neutral I would much prefer Liverpool to nick it!
Good post. Liverpool for me too. They are my favourite Premiership team. Rodgers is a good coach and has transformed the Liverpool of last year without making significant additions. He is fast developing in to a top coach and deserves to win the Premiership. Not only do Liverpool play well, they seem to have a great team spirit, watch the goal celebrations here. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2582009/Man-United-0-3-Liverpool-Two-Steven-Gerrard-penalties-Luis-Suarez-David-Moyes-woeful-Reds-Old-Trafford.html
Don't care particularly, as long as its exciting. I think Liverpool are the only one of the four never to have won the Premier league, so maybe them. They've got 'our' Stirling too.
Id like to see the Scoucers do it but they would become unbearable again.. Like BR and he's made a decent team even better. If not then Arsenal.
Good thread, Sooper. I agree with the majority above, Liverpool would be my favourites. Never really liked Chelsea, and it would be boring if City won it. Wouldn't mind Arsenal, but I can't actually see them winning it to be honest! I just like what BR has done, and the way in which he has got them playing. As you say though, it's nice to actually have this many teams involved! Definitely looking forward to the end of the season! Will it go down to the last day!?
I like beautiful footy....so must be Liverpool Arsenal can do it...but are too fragile. Cleskum and Citeh....are just to formulaic for me. (And although both are in my most hated club box, it is actually nothing to do with that....they are both boring) Liverpool play with flair, Arsenal play with flair and a finger on the self-destruct button
Arsenal for me, they have stayed true to good football. But I think Chelsea will win it, Mourinho is a genius.
Hate Arsenal.......always have. Citeh have hardly been boring Beth, with the amount of goals they've banged in. Mind you, I had a bad experience with some of their fans a couple of years ago so I never want them to win anything! I think City will win it though.
