Well we have finally done it.

Not just done it after all the near misses, but we go into the Premiership as the Championship Champions.

Top of this league since November but we will still be greeted as massive underdogs next season and I couldnt be happier.

So who in the top division is talking about us on this forum?

I just browsed the Premier League board and very few seem worried about us. It couldn't be better. I like us being seen as underdogs.

Nobody will be worried about us ITI. Hopefully we can change that!

It's a tough league, and nobody really knows how you'll fare until you are playing there, know which players step up to a higher league, which players come in and go. You could do a Derby and crash and burn, or you could do a Swans and thrive there.

I know we are rivals and we will argue you like hell next season, but providing it doesn't effect my club I wish you well next season.

As it happens 11 of the teams in the premiership we have played at some time in the championship.

They will not want to lose when they play us.

Tan has not come with the intention of getting promotion and then getting relegated, we have the money man we have the manager and we have a team that kept going to the end.

I did post on the Man Utd. thread "Rival watch" as of course next season we will be playing them.

I think we can finish well up in the bottom half of the table that would be good for our first season.

After seeing some of our more recent performances I am a little more optimistic about going into the premier league with this crop of players. As I see it 4-5 new players are needed. 2 defence, 2 midfield and an out and out striker. I think we can stay up and make a good go of it.

I am sure you will have some visitors and mentions come August but we are more bothered about what is happening to us for the next few weeks <ok>

I will not take our away game with Cardiff lightly (assuming we do stay up) but at home we will fear very few teams outside the top 4.

I hope you guys can enjoy the PL as much as we did in our first season but I promise it will be tough for all three that come up this time and you might end up enjoying it as much as QPR fans have.

We did well attracting good players during our "championship" years (lol) so now we are a premiership club I am sure we will get quality when we buy in the transfer market.

Most teams in the prem have to wait for one to sell before theres much money to spend, we are not in that position so we can get a few bargains.

I'm sure Malky and Sir Alex will have a lot to talk about over the coming months. <ok>

If reports are correct there is a close bond developing between the two winners.

Have to say what a nice touch by Brendan:

There is no need to fear anyone in the Prem. The top 6 are going to be hard to beat but there are points to be won elsewhere.

At this minute I'll take 17th next year but we may surprise a few.

everyone from west brom down operate on a different league to the top 7. we will be on the end of a few thrashings from the big boys but under malky i think we will get the points we need next year.

hilts i think we need to spend £25m, in strategic areas as we are fine in some positions........ 8 players should do it, FFS look at west brom, norwich, southampton etc, all safe this year and i think if we played them next week even with no new additions we'd not look out of place....

Will be interesting to see CCFC fare in the top league. As a QPR fan, I can assure you that it's not always fun! You seem to have a sensible owners, and a good squad and manager. The trick appears to be striking the right balance between rewarding and trusting those who have got you there, and buying wisely. We've managed neither of those!

We were quick to write off the likes of HH, Tommy Smith and Matthew Connolly as 'not PL standard' (despite HH being our top scorer in our first year in the PL!!) and we paid the price for that. I can't see your manager making the same mistakes.

Without knowing too much about your squad, I would argue 8 is too many to add into the mix! Better 3-4 very good players than 8 less good players if you follow me.
