Interesting article here. http://therepublikofmancunia.com/sir-alex-spending-better-on-wages-than-any-manager/ Quotes from a piece by Robert Preston the Beeb's business editor. He says in relation to a Deloitte review of football finances, that: He also says that while Man Utd paid £131 million in wages, it's premier league points generated per unit of spending on players' wages - is relatively low. What do you think?
I saw a similar article on the Beeb site. The interesting thing from it is that United spend 46% of revenue on wages and City pay 107% which will be interesting when the FFP rules come in. Wage bills have really got out of hand and something needs to be done by the powers that be. Sadly I suspect it would take a big team going bust before meaningful changes are made.
