http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jul/19/premier-league-goalline-technology Well, this looks positive! About bloomin time too. It's a farce it's dragged on this long getting it looked at, but at least the ball is rolling now. I don't see any arguments against it to be honest.
I agree that it should be introduced, but I can't see it making a huge difference. You win some, you lose some, so it all evens out in the end. What they should introduce those is proper rules on shirt pulling. Sometime players get a red card and a penalty is awarded and other time it happens throughout the match in full view of the referee and nothing is done about it. Referees should have a zero-tolerance policy for unfair play tactics. The game should be won and lost based on skill not shirt pulling, diving, and other nonsense.
I think surely all that would need to be done is put a microchip in the ball, and a sensor on each post? Surely that would do? FIFA are stupid...
Yes because a microchip is such a robust piece of equipment that it can survive being belted at 70MPH by someones boot.
Easily man! How do you think things like "punch power analysis" work? I can't think of any more examples, but it can't be that hard to embed one in there somewhere. I'm no scientist, and I don't know what system they've been working on, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.
