http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35953447 Three Premier League clubs have denied "false" doping allegations made by the Sunday Times newspaper. The paper claims Mark Bonar - a London-based private doctor - prescribed performance-enhancing drugs to over 150 British athletes, including Premier League footballers. To me...it can only be Villa........and they are being feed vast quantities of mogadon, only explaination for their complete lack of interest in football..
While it is probably best that I don't share too much, I know for a fact that Chelsea have used at least one drug 'off label' in other words for something that it is not licensed for. I don't know whether this was a proscribed use, but it was definitely the club, not a third party, using it. And if they were using it, I would assume other clubs were/are too. It would not enhance performance, but would speed recovery from fractures, especially things like metatarsal breaks.
Given what's at stake, financially and otherwise, it is barely believable that performance-enhancing drugs aren't used in all top level sports, be it for muscle growth or, more likely in football, aiding recovery. Our holier than thou attitude towards Russia may be tested.
It's clear that our players weren't using any performance enhancing drugs last season, if they were they need to sack the doctor!
Sb 73 Its probably best that you don't share at all rather than make accusations without offering proof.
I say let them take whatever they want to improve performance in all sports. Who wouldn't want to see a man run 100m in 5 seconds and then have his heart explode as he crosses the line?
It's not an accusation, it's a fact. Which why I said 'I know for a fact'. How I know is not relevant, unless you think I'm lying. What they are doing is not illegal, a doctor can prescribe anything to anyone, regardless of the label, and I don't know whether it's against sport anti doping regulations. Anyway, I look forward to asking you for unnecessary 'proof' on some of your fascinating contributions.
It's not an accusation, it's a fact. How I know is not relevant, unless you think I'm lying. Reading the Star is not illegal,
You shouldn't post anything, ever, unless making yourself look a ****wit is your ambition. In which case congratulations you are suceeding spectacularly, as your response to this will further demonstrate.
While it is probably best that I don't share too much, I know for a fact that QPR have used at least one drug 'off label' in other words for something that it is not licensed for. I don't know whether this was a proscribed use, but it was definitely the club, not a third party, using it. And if they were using it, I would assume other clubs were/are too. It would not enhance performance, but would speed recovery from headaches1
I don't, but when someone post something which has nothing to do with the original post I feel something should be said. I said it originally quite nicely but the poster responded with a snide remark. I replied.
Yeah, but Stan said he knew for a fact...., you said, prove it. Maybe just trust that he knows for a fact, or ask him how he knows.
