Good to see that we were the best team in 2015, but it counts for little unless we're still there at the end of the season.
It would certainly be good to see those old rivals, 'Pool and United, battling it out in the Europa, next season.
I'm sure HIAG would be happy about spurs finishing 3rd. Don't see what it has to do with where arsenal finish. Is one a condition of the other? EDIT: At the moment, the table in the OP shows just how low the benchmark has been set. Also think I read somewhere this is the joint lowest points total for a team at the top, half way through the season.
Yeah, I'd agree. I'm more concerned with where we finish than where Arsenal finish. If we get third and they win it, we're both in the C.L. It's as wide open as I can ever remember it this year. A lot might depend on who does what this month!
Results AND purchase/sales wise. Some teams need to bring in players. Others need to keep hold of theirs
True. But I think with the amount of new money in the Prem now 'smaller' clubs are more able to tell the big boys to stick it! So, hanging on to your best players is a little easier for them now. In our case, we most definitely need a decent back up striker. If Kane cops an injury, we're going to be struggling.
We definitely need one and for the reasons you've said, will probably need to look abroad. If rumours of Perez are true, I hope you win that battle
Why is that surprising? Villa are **** and should have been relegated two years ago but for teams being ****ter (and then previously having a quality Belgium striker too)
Why is that surprising? Do I need to expain surprise to you? A promoted team gets more points in half a season that a top prem team (historically) gets in a whole season. During that "season" they did this
