Sky suggested after the derby defeat that we needed another win to be sure of our premier league status for another season. With our current points total (35) many would suggest we already have enough. How do you see it? Could we survive even if we lost all our remaining games?

Sadly, yes. A bit of an indictment on the "best league" in the world.

Think we may need another 3 and we should get these at Liverpool on Monday.

We'll get at least one more win - though nobody will know how - and it will be one of the ones that we're not expected to win (then again that is all games now).
we'll survive - but only just.

Funniest comment ever from Facebook. Our 'squad' would be top 7 with a decent coach/ manager. Please tell me some of these people won't be allowed to vote in May.

The only way that Newcastle could become a Top-7 team with the current squad would be if they played in a league with no more than five other teams.

And then they'd still perhaps not be Top-7 material.

7th yes higher no. And that's pushing it. If everyone was fit all the time. And not suspended. And Mike Williamson didn't play for us. or Anita. Or Ameobi. Waaaiiit a minute, did he mean 17th?

If the Toon was ceded to Scotland then we could comfortably be top 7 in the SPL I feel.

Same bloke is trying to say that our promotion winning team of 1992 was full of average players. Likewise our PL sides during the entertainers years. Not surprised. He looks younger than 30.

A few of these ****ter teams look way way better than you at the moment. Think you did enough earlier in the season though.

We'll finish 16th. Right next to you either side.

If the season started now we'd finish bottom on the lowest points ever.

I've been saying the same about us. But now Dick is playing us to our strengths I can see we've got enough to stay up. Just. Lot of work required from both clubs in the summer to avoid this mess again. If we stay up of course. Let's not count chickens, either of us. The way some of the teams around us have sprung into action it's going to be close.

I'm surprised at the descent of Hull mind.
On paper they have a decent lower to mid table PL side.

I'm not, Bruce manages them. Brucie ruts are tradmark at all his clubs. He builds a team, does well, then ****s up evolving his squad.
