This seems to show that Sunderland has one of the youngest, and most experienced squads in terms of Premier League appearances.

I'm not entirely sure of the point you're making?

They're pretty empty stats as they are now. What does it tell us?

We've got an experiences squad in terms of appearances. Who cares? It's not stopped us battling for relegation for the past 3/4 seasons.

Experience doesn't necessarily mean quality. Our stats will be skewed anyway due to the likes of Defoe and O'Shea making up a large % of it anyway.

Need some context and the point you're trying to make

Not really making a point. I came upon the article and was surprised by the amount of experience the overall squad had. I got curious about how Sunderland would compare with the other teams, so I tabled the info. Sunderland's overall PLA's are more than 1 standard deviation above the mean. With that type of experience, I expected the overall squad to be comparatively older than other teams. I was surprised to see that the roster is actually one of the youngest. I just wanted to point out a positive. The forum was kind of quiet last night. I just thought more experienced supporters might want to add perspective to the data.

Nice stat work make. Often those who don't buy into stats often forget the effort put into presenting them. Comments like What's the point? The point is for them to discover. People who rubbish stats always seem to be paranoid about hidden meaning and pushed agendas instead of realising it's for them to form their own opinion. So often I find it's just interesting to read without overthinking them and having to even trying to form a point. Like I have here.

Keep it up fella. I personally appreciate your efforts. One stat man to another. <ok>:)
