Arsenal's Robin van Persie was named as the Premier League's Player of the Month for October 2011. This was the third time Van Persie has won the award, the 26th time it has gone to an Arsenal player and the 12th time it has been won by a Dutchman. This was Mancini's 2nd time he has won the award, the 6th time it was won by a Manchester City manager and the 9th time it was won by an Italian.
