The best hat-trick was by JFH against Spurs, I believe. A left footer, a header and a right footer. Glorious. A young Jimmy would have filled his boots in this years premiership.
As much as it pains me Bergkamp against Leicester had to be the best if i remember correctly the Leicester fans gave him a standing ovation classy
I remember when We (Southampton) conceded two hatricks in one match, that was against Arsenal in 2003, 6-1 we lost at Highbury. One hatrick was scored by Robert Pires and the other was scored by none other than Jermaine Pennant on his Premiership debut! Here's the link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/2994079.stm A hard result for us Saints at the time, but the FA Cup final just a few games later more than made up for it as we gave as good as we got that day in Cardiff!
3 hat tricks and finished in the bottom half this year Andy Carroll v Aston Villa 22nd August Kevin Nolan v Sunderland 31st October Leon Best v West Ham 5th January
Only the one game where a player from BOTH teams scored hat-tricks, Wigan 5-3 Blackburn on the 15th December 2007, Marcus Bent and Roque Santa Cruz http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7134166.stm
