Premier League clubs chase QPR duo Written by James Hailstone on July 9, 2013 Stéphane Mbia Queens Park Rangers Queens Park Rangers duo Stephane Mbia and Samba Diakite could be set to leave Loftus Road this summer, reports Sky Sports. Despite interest from Europe, the players could move to another Premier League suitor from their relegated side. Versatile There seems to be lots of interest in Mbia, who arguably could be seen as one of the better QPR players from the underachieving squad. The former Marseille man, who has the versatility of being able to play in defence or midfield, has attracted interest from Arsenal, Aston Villa and Swansea. The 27-year-old Cameroon international is settled in England and would jump at the chance to stay in the Premier League as he is understood to be reluctant to get the Hoops promoted this season. Expensive QPR may also want to get rid of Mbia as he is a high earner and, like Diakite, the Londoners will not stand in the playerâs way if they desire to leave the club. Samba Diakite, who is three years younger than his team-mate, is believed to be being watched by Fulham and Stoke. Both clubs could make an offer but the player may consider Stoke more as new boss Mark Hughes signed Diakite at his unsuccessful spell at QPR.
Mbia is a clown and Diakite is always likely to get sent off due to his inability to tackle. Diakite certainly on his way on the basis he has not shown up for pre-season training or gone to Devon.
