So we have another win under our belts and up to 10th, and we can't do a Derby and things are looking good with Danny getting 4 goals in 4 for the Swans (get out of that one) lol The question is that we have played a quarter of the season now, so do you consider our players premier class ? And have their values increased do you think if someone comes shopping in January ?
Very good question Jager. Outstanding players: Vorm, Ash, Britton, Dyer, Allen Premier class: Above 5, Taylor, Rangel, Sinclair, Gower, Routledge and Graham. The first 5 have been my standout players. Those guys are who'll keep us in the league. Sinclair isn't there because of his lack of goals (Bar penalty's he has none) and his knack of being too greedy. So, in my honest opinion the only players that are not premier league class are Monk, Orlandi, Moore, Lita?
little joe would be my danger of attracting some interest from bigger clubs at home and abroad. he must be in the double figure million bracket, maybe £15 million or even more.....
Joey is worth £5-6 million. The way he's playing he'll be worth alot more in time, but £15million, he isn't that good.
I don't know about that ash, he is the stand out player who actually looks like a premiership player and £15 million is peanuts to these big teams. if he was to attract interest then i hope it will be a bidding war and he could attract a lot more than £15 million.......he has it all and will only get better.....A little gem....
I'll agree with you that £15million is peanuts to a big club, and that Joey is a gem. The only thing I will say is that he's not yet a proven premier league player. There's no doubting he's talented, but a club won't pay over 10 million for a player that's had a few cracking games in the Premier league. That said, If he is worth £15million, I hope nobody bids because we wouldn't turn that sort of offer down and I'd hate to see him go.
prem class for me are allen dyer sinclair ash williams britton The rest im not sure of yet, Vorm has been outstanding yet there does seem to be fragile parts of his game. same for taylor . Danny graham is close to being classed as prem quality just needs to keep scoring . Rangel is also close . Orlandi, routledge, monk, gower, not prem standard moore ,lita and jazz havent had enough time to form an opinion
If we stay up our regular starting 11 can all be classed as Prem standard. Don't disagree with the names being bandied about at all but I suppose the ones who are currently steeping up for me in terms of catching the eye of rival managers who might come sniffing at some stage: Allen, Graham, Dyer, Sinclair, Williams & Vorm.
It's a difficult question because players who are playing well in the Swans system may not do well in other teams (Leon went to Sheff Utd and it didn't really work out for him). Not many Swans players have left the Club and done well. I think the current squad know that and I can't see many/any leaving in January.
i think different myself, i would like for some to either go out on loan or sell on as we definitely need 3 -4 new players better than what we have for the second half of the season which is always harder than the first half. don't forget we really must be points safe before our last two games or we will have had it.
If, for example, Oxlade-Chamberlain can be bought for £12 million (which could rise to £15 million with add ons) then that is at least a minimum we should hold out for given than Allen has actually played premiership football and has taken to it like a duck to water even if he is a little bit further down the line of his development being 3 years older!!! On the topic of Premier League class players get this People who have scored the same amount of league goals as Graham (4 goals - £3.5m): Suarez (4 goals - £22.8m), Hernandez (4 goals - £7m), Sturridge (4 goals - £3.5m initial, risen to £5m & almost certain to rise to £6.5m) & Agbonlahor (4 goals - £0) and there are only EIGHT people who have scored more (only the last 4 if we include the own goal lol): Van der Vaart (5 goals - £8m), Lampard (5 goals - £11m in 2001), Balotelli (5 goals - £24m), Ba (5 goals - free), Rooney (9 goals - £25.6m), Dzeko (9 goals - £27m), Aguero (9 goals - £35m) & Van Persie (10 goals - £2.75m in 2004) Not bad company to currently be grouped with!!
van persie - £2.75m !!! FFS that is awesome buisness by Arsenal and not for the first time either !!
I know i was in shock when i read that!!!! it was a bargain even more as it was only half of what his club (Feyenoord) want. Bet they are kicking themselves now. They only wanted 5-6 MILLION for him lol

Why do you keep asking that daft question, Musty? No offence but it's not the first time. And yet again it's been answered! Did you watch yesterday's game?
Norway, I have to ask are you in the i dont like Gower camp. do you realise since the injury to Augustein. gower has stepped in. Guess what we have started winning games. Whilst i think there are better midfield players at our club. He has performed excellently for us. he compliments Briton and Allen superbly. for me at the moment all our starting 11 are good enough for the Premier league our results tell you that.
