You will have strengthening to do, but to be ten points clear at a decent championship level is special.

I just hope you guys don't do a qpr and dump your title winning players, never went down well with anyone that.

Tony Fernandes has admitted he knows nothing about football and even less on how to use his wealth to nuture it.

Briatore, Eccleston and Co set their stall out at the club and it didn't work. Fernandes has taken up the chalice and just gambled something like £80M in transfers and future wage committments this past 3 weeks. I've got a feeling the even old 'arry the genie isn't going to get him is money back by keeping them up.

In contrast our owners have been bold in their actions on the stewardship of the club, but quite frugal in comparison when it comes to pure "speculation" - that's the big difference in approach that augurs well for the future.

Anyway, there's only room for one Malaysian backed club in the Premier League. <whistle>

Can't imagine MM doing that. There'll be some casualties and he obviously doesn't do sentiment given his marginalisation of Earnie.

I think it'll be a case of feeding 3-4 players of extra quality into the team, a couple team members become squad players with a few disappearing out the door. Saying that, there are very few players who have a place nailed. Marhsall, Hudson, Whitts and Beallmy are written in stone, with Taylor and Turner there as there aren't any options but would probably stay.

With Campbell and a returning Maynard we probably need to replace HH and Rudy. The midfield is near enough OK but I wouldn't say no to another bit of quality alongside whitts. 2 more fullbacks would be necessary.

As for some of the teams at the bottom of the Premiership at the moment, i think QPR, VILLA and Wigan would struggle in the championship as it is, plus i would hasten to add that Reading and Southampton would also struggle a bit.

Not sure I agree with this. Obviously, it wouldn't be easy; but even with a few departures, I'm confident we have the squad to get back up.

Is the Championship finishing early this season then? Just asking like...........................<laugh>
