If you could create a master team of 11 + subs from the Premiership era, who would make it into your illustrious team. Irwin...give over??? David Buust wouldn't vote for him! Schmeichal over Cech without a doubt. Has Drogba scored more than Henry, Ronaldo and Shearer in one season, I don't think so, so he can get deleted. I don't see Vidic or King as best CB's either. Rio, Adams and Terry at his peak maybe.
I wanted a team that could attack with pace, and neither Sheringham nor Shearer would really allow that. I think King if fit, would have gone on to be one of the best CB's the country has ever had. And the Rio Vidic combination imo has been the best in the league for a long time, so King and Vidic I think would be amazing. Adams, could replace Vidic quite comfortably in my team though. I dont like or rate terry. Keeper was a toss up between Cech and Schmeical, I chose the former as I have seen more of him and remember thinking he was just rediculous under Jose. As i said, I wanted pace as well as strength for my cf so went for Drogs, then should I need to change things, swap henry and drogs for tevez and Rooney, which again was a very fruitfull combination with Ronaldo. I know there are always ommisions such as giggs, Bergkamp, Zola, etc... but this is the best balanced for the way I like my teams to play.

Makalele - arguably the best DM of all time? You are aware this team isn't actually going to play? re: King. Yes he's a good player, he's nowhere near contention for the best defender of the past 20 years though.
