  1. YES - I know we've just finished this season, but the PL fixtures for next season are going to be released on the Friday the 17th of June, the same as last season.

Can anyone else believe how fast a year has gone?

It just seems like just yesterday we were talking about rumours of Ben Arfa signing for the Toon, and the Mackems were shouting "Yewrope" and "6 easy points".

Anyway, only 3 weeks tomorrow for next seasons fixtures.

Which would be a decent first fixture of the season for you?

I personally want a home game first, as we haven't been home first in years.

I want us to avoid one of the bigguns, as we've played vs Manure first in two consecutive PL seasons. I also want to avoid the newly promoted teams.

I'd like someone like Fulham or Blackburn with a pants away record and 3 points to get us off to a good start. Also hopefully we'll get the first derby game at St James and get a decent amount of the tougher games spready out instead of them all clumped around Christmas like last time.

Agree, they always start terribly and it would be a difficult fixture later in the season out of the way early on.

Manure away. Seems to be a really good time to play them and it gets potentially the hardest game of the season out of the way straight away.

  10. I don't think a newly promoted team would be a great first game lads.

They always come up fighting. For some reason i think QPR at home will be like a repeat of the Blackpool 0-2 game

Norwich away 09/10 they lost 7-1 at home to Colchester and 10/11 they lost 3-2 at home to Watford. Both promotion season, so probs best time to play them.
