I was told yesterday that our first home game v. Man City has been switched from Saturday 24th to Sunday 25th August with a 4.00 pm kick off. The game is to be shown live on Sky. I believe box holders have been advised so they can organise their hospitality.

Probably the first of many changes due to opponents European commitments on Wednesdays and Thursdays and for tv purposes.

This suits me as likely to go away on the preceeding Thursday evening so to return home on the Sunday may be more acceptable to the "boss" rather than coming back on the Saturday.

At least I hope so. <whistle>

The official website is still stating Man C Saturday 24.8.13 so I'd keep checking

Box holders given early notice as they are "more important" than the rest of us. <yikes>

A few games will be switched even during the season to accommodate sky sports or tasty cup matches. when we played man city in our first game in the prem we were switched from a saturday to a bloody monday. so you cant plan ahead to far for the fear of the match being switched....thats the price we all have to pay for the money sky pays i suppose..

ps...every club is guaranteed the minimum of 10 live tv matches

How much notice do they normally give (as a minimum) if a game is changed for TV?

I think sky release their tv fixtures in blocks of about 3-4 months. They should publish the schedule till about November, I think!!
