Okay so a few games have passed and Adkins is finally starting to mix up the squad a little bit. Who would you choose to play now and what formation because we are starting to make good use of the diamond ?

    My starting XI:

    Davis
    Richardson Fonte Hooiveld/Martin Fox
    De Ridder Cork Schneiderlin Lallana
    Lambert Connolly

    Subs: Bart, Harding/Butterfield, Hooiveld/Martin, Guly/Chaplow/Hammond, Barnard/Guly

Lots of options there but give that Starting XI a go for a few games i think. (maybe try Hooiveld for a few games and Martin for a few too.)

We deff need to keep Hammond in there for away games... No one has his box to box presence like he does!!! And afterall he deserves to keep his place!! He's deff earned it!! But overal I agree

One f in Preferred. Bad spelling drives me up the wall, and I'm in a pedantic mood, so either take it as a reminder to check your spelling before you submit your post, or ignore mine. No offence intended.

Not a problem. If anything, the problem is mine. I was brought up in an era when good spelling and vocabulary was important, so I'm often on my toes.

Incidentally, I hear that era is about to make a reprise..! ;)

I think it depends who we are playing and whether we are home or away. Away from home we need more insurance and cover for the defence therefore Hammond should be chosen over schneiderlin. Likewise Guly is more disciplined than de Ridder, who away from home can only really be used as an impact sub.

My problem is different, thanks to being educated in one of Mrs Thatchers Incomprehensible Modern schools I can spell! However when I get on a keyboard my fingers seldom actually press the key that my brain is instructing them to do. I only use one finger on each hand! I frequently have to Google words that don't look right, but still errors creep in, especially when I get a bit excited and post before proof reading. My biggest gripe is people that use the word 'of' when they mean 'have'! Would of scored, = would have scored. Anyway looks like parasols and sun hats Saturday, take plenty of fluids, if the forecast is right it's going to be Scorchio!

Agree with the OP's lineup but want De Ridder right mid, guly back to the bench and used for impact. However Hammond also needs a place, but maybe spiderman is a good call for a home game and use Deano away?

The beauty is that we could rotate players in and out with ease and without compromise. Fox - Harding, Seaborne - Martin - Hooiveld, Spiderman - Hammond, Guly - De Ridder, Barnard - Connolley and Richardson - Butterfield?

But as always the core of: Fonte, Lallana and Lambert should always feature.

Not based on performance tbh, just would like to see De Ridder get a start, feel it is better to trial him at home, but maybe he should have to prove his way into the team!

Would suit me though i still have Guly in my fantasy team ;-)
