Would never have thought that this game could be so important but I think it may be. Chesterfield came up with us last year but, like us, have struggled in League 1. We are precariously placed just above them in the league and neither team will want to lose this one.

John Sheridan's team come into this without a win in since September when they beat Carlisle at Saltergate.

Chestefield's league form (most recent first) LLDLDLLLLL

It is worth noting that the Speirites have scored in all but one of their last 8 league games, boasting skillful forwards like Jack Lester.

Its still early in the season but both teams desperately need to win this to stay with the pack above.

    Lets have some predictions........

2-1 but I'm not sure who to. Both teams should be up for it as neither will want to be bottom!

    Come on blues !

Im looking at both teams' woeful defensive records and going for a thriller in manilla 4-4, Trotta to equalize 90+4!

I agree with Ron on this. 3-1 Wycombe with goals from Beavon, Trotta and LJ for us and Lester getting a mere consolation for them.

<wah> Mummy. This was sounding good before half time but now it sounds depressing again. No-one up with the play on the attack and sloppy defending. I have this horrible feeling.

what a win, what a result: fantastic for the wanderers!!!! beaver was stunning, trotta looked good upfront, grant looked very good on the wing and matty bloomfield gave one of his best performances ever (in my memory). really well taken goals, and a late late winner to add to the drama...buzzing after that :D :D :D :D :D

awesome result, matty b was awesome ,rodney trotter up front was class and i thought we had blown our chance when he blazed over the bar late on but hail the beever he finished superbly yet again.one major concern was big dave winfield he had his worst game in a blues shirt and was all over the place the whole game but his partner in central defence leon was his usual cool self and delt with everything that came his way.
