So you really know it's the start of Pre-Season now! The Prediction League is set to return for the new season and this is where it begins You'll be happy to know that negotiations with the H have been successful and with a new spreadsheet comes the introduction of new rules to throw a bit of mix and make the league more high scoring. But more on that later... For you that don't know the Prediction League was originally run on the old 606 and involves the guessing the scoreline and (now) the scorers in each of Cardiff league games this year. It was good fun last year and gets some of you who don't comment as much to become more involved in the board, as well as some good old competitive fun to see who of all of us is the best predictor. So comment and follow the instructions below! Existing Members - If you were part of the league last year and took an active part, comment on this thread and you will reclaim your place in the Division you were in last year, including relegations and promotions. You will see this confirmed as your name will appear in one of the lists below. New Members - If you are hoping to join the league and I hope there's some of you... Comment and your name will be placed in the Non - League list. Since there were a lot of drop outs last year and I don't know how many new members there are going to be I'll wait and see before deciding where you will be placed. Thanks Blue Sheep

I am ready for a new season too Blue Sheep I guess there will be quite a few of us taking a name change though
Put me down Sheep...I'm ready for another battle with relegation With the new set-up there could be some interesting tables this season
Right you guys are far to eager... but here's your previews Cvdbluebird (Div 1: 8th) Regular CSâs at good intervals secured a top 10 finish including an impressive streak around Christmas with 11 points from 11 games. Cvd will be looking for similar performance this year with a slight chance of a top 4 not an unreasonable target. Taffthefish (Div 1:6th) A solid top 10 finish for the reliable Taff built late on around his March Predictor of the Month award. Taff regularly cashed in on the points and those 7 CSâs allowed him to challenge and compete near the top. An opening double was a good start but the three towards the end of the season were crucial in him reaching 6th. More of the same needed to establish himself amongst the big boys. Swamp/ Super Kenny Miller (Div 2: 13th) After an unsuccessful season for our moderator a major rebranding process has been undergone, complete with a new name (and red kitâ¦.) For a moderator not to be in the Top Flight of their own board is almost as bad as the Capitalâs team not being in the Top League of the system they play inâ¦.But Swamp did come in late but will be under pressure to improve on a record of only 8 scoring games from 30 in the coming season and to get out of this Division sayer77 (Div 1: 17th R) So how will Sayer respond to that final day relegation? Despite a strong start a sporadic second half to the season did not produce enough Correct Scores to prevent H from catching up. So will it be a domineering performance in the second flight ala Toon or will this be but a brief visit to the top division? Danablu (Div 2: 12th) A solidly unspectacular effort from Dan, gaining all of his 15 points from CRâs â third highest in the league. Will be looking to get his first CS somewhere along the line in the coming season and try and get out of the bottom half.
Blueforever123 (Div 2: 2nd RU) Sharing the best return of points from games after a sustained absence from the competition, Blue grabbed a Second Division record high of 6 CS, including two braces and was the only player to pick up the Predictor of the Month Award twice, for December and February. After briefly topping the division Blue needed a wisely picked 1-1 CS against Brum and 3 CR’s late on to make it over the line and gain automatic promotion. So know will Blue will be able to transfer his prolithic form across into the top division, or will be back down within the year? BluefromBridgend (Div 2: 5th) A good start to the season resulted in two CS in 3 games and it was fairly solid allowing Bfb to nearly snatch the last automatic spot but just missed out leaving him to comfortably to secure his Playoff spot. Unfortunately met an in form Exile in the semi’s and was dumped out but will take comfort in his ability to compete into the coming season and will hopefully push forward. H-bomb (Div 1: 16th) A Correct Score could hardly come at a better time than when you need 3 points to avoid the drop, so when Cowie struck the winner against Palace H must have been chuffed to pull off a final day escape! So after managing to navigate the tricky position of 3 points from 5 games (without needing the bonus point!) will the coming season be an inspired success or second season flop? Sticky Swamp?
I seem to be a bit more regular than last season (must be the medication) so I'd love to be considered for a place. Thank you in anticipation of your kind consideration.
