    KINGOSTARR wins first ever 'Not606 Champions League' as TOON_LEWIS picks up the 'Not606 Europa League' trophy!

    Hello everyone and welcome to the final predictions thread of the season. The two competitions have now finished, with KINGOSTARR winning the Champions League and TOON_LEWIS winning the Europa League. Here are the final results in full:

    Final Results:

    CHAMPIONS LEAGUE:
    KingoStarr 4-3 Leazes Corner

    KINGOSTARR WINS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

    EUROPA LEAGUE:
    TOON_LEWIS 7-5 jimileysbaldhead

    TOON_LEWIS WINS EUROPA LEAGUE

    (thanks to Hatem is a Geordie for calculating those)

    However, where there are winners there are also losers, and this weekend LEAZES CORNER and JIMILEYSBALDHEAD suffered the pain of defeat in the final. Well done to these two though, as they have had great runs in the competition.

    My thanks go to everyone on here who has predicted throughout the tournament, all the way back to the Group Stage which started when we all moved across to Not606. Also, everyone who has helped in someway over the course of the competition; LEAZES CORNER, AGINAIRR, NOBBYS TRUMPET, HATEM IS A GEORDIE all spring to mind. (Sorry if I've forgotten anyone, if I have, you were also a great help!)

    Moving onto next season, are people still interested in doing this next year? I think it has gone down well this year and I think it could be even better in a league format next year. Please suggest any ideas for next season below.

    So, the Prediction competitions will return in August, when KINGOSTARR will take on TOON_LEWIS for the 'Not606 Super Cup'. Until then, have a great summer everyone!

    I'd definitely be interested! Was good fun, just hope I do better next year, came bottom of my group!

    Yes, new entries are fine, I'm sure a few of last year's competitors won't be in, as they didnt predict at all, so there will be places available.

    Anyway, I think a league format would be good for next season and for many years beyond that. We could have one league for Champions League Entrants, one league for Europa League entrants and then a new league with people that want to join that weren't in it this year. I can't remember how many people entered this year. But we could have two relegated and two promoted with one automatic and one in a play-off style? We could also have the FA Cup where we predict just the games with Prem teams in.

    On top of all that you have done some great work Toon_Lewis, so have some rep!

    How about all entrants donate 100 points which will be given to the winner? Not a lot of points to give away but with quite a few of us playing the game it could be a nice little pick up for the winner.

    he did that on 606 and found it difficult to do why he went to champions league/europa league format
    not saying don't do that just we'll all have to help him out <ok>

    maybe if one of the mods did the threads and stickied them every week and say a few others helped with the toting the points up and leagues
    just know he's always busy at work like

    It is true that it was difficult, but that was largely down to the mods constantly taking the articles down for no reason at all. Also, this time I think Nobbys Trumpet has already agreed to help out with 1 league and if anyone else wants to that would be great aswell.
