with no plan 'B' we need to have some pace out wide and we need it quickly if we're going to push for a play off position, but if I'm honest with myself looking at the other teams likely to be in the mix I think we have no chance with the present line up, to be fair I didn't expect to much this season and I'm quite happy with the progress already made with such a new squad, I for one would like to see us try young Harris and maybe a few others as well and combined with some quality arrivals in the summer give it a proper push next season when we should be better equipped.

At the moment we're very boring and very predictable, and very slow. We have to hope this changes over the summer. Poor Kenny Miller - he must be really fed up with the service he's getting. Even when he is given a decent pass, he looks around and has nobody to support him. Dismal stuff - results apart, this is the most boring we've been for many years. We've got lads in the Academy who can run - give them a chance, try them out ready for next season.

I agree with Iggy. Dismal and boring. I actually said at the match this is the most consistently poor we have been for a long time. Certainly since we moved to the new statdium. Its a real shame we are falling away like this. The crowd is dwindling to.

18 games since New Years Eve at a rate just over a game every 4 days was unsustainable with the squad Malky has . Held there own through January but they soon fell off . Blackpool & Boro are there for the taking IMO . Whether this Cardiff squad can take advantage , along with Hull , is yet to be seen .

im not gonna complain.......i thought we`d struggle 2 stay up after last years failed effort and the aftermath of a player exodus, but we have played better than i could have imagined and our one point from the play offs reflects our over the season form so far ........please dont panic if we dont get there then there`s always next year or even later im in no rush.im just happy watching my team play some of its highest place football in the thirty years ive followed em.....yeah there`s always gonna be downers but thats what its like being a cardiff fan init.....chin up sussex dude it keeps seat ticket prices down not being in the prem so there`s a bonus <laugh>...........you also have an added bonus of having a chance of a ticket rather than a plastic man utd fan sitting in it for a bandwagon season or so(see the liberty).................it aint all bad see <laugh>......take care butty

Yes we have been sussed out by other teams who know how to play against us.
Yes we are struggling to change our style of play due to the limitations of the squad.
But I think most of us would have been happy with our position before the start of the season. Although we are not doing well at the moment we are still in with a chance of the play offs so lets all stay positive and support these lads who have given more for this club than some of their recent predecessors.

But why don't we TRY some of our other players. We were crying out for width and creativity so Conway sits on the bench for 60 odd minutes.....
What has this starting 11 achieved to make them untouchable? Use the squad Malky FFS!

From a crowd point of view 21k plus on mothers day the day after a grand slam was pretty respectable IMO, it wil drop if we don't start being a bit more creative though.

Only positive was a massively improved performance from kev. If he can have a word with whits and explain how to regain form we might still make the playoffs.

I hope that after today MM plays conway from the start and puts LL on the right to give us a bit off width and a plan B just be being able to spread it wide with an actual player helping out the fullbacks.

Agree that all the matches caught up with us, but why did we end up with a small squad (again).

TBH, if this team makes the playoffs it will be a herculean effort by the guys. Unfortunately even if we do, I can't see us going to far.

These next few games may be a bit depressing for us all I think.

Still, I think with what the team has shown under MM this year, we are about 4 quick creative players away from being a top 3 team. Hope we find them over summer :)

couldnt make the match, but i saw this coming, i mean, what can be the logic in picking the same starting 11 that have picked up so few points in the last 8/9 games?

a point is a point, but in the situation we are in now we need 2 or 3 wins on the bounce to build some confidence and belief amongst the players <ok>

I thought everyone would be cock-a-hoop with our result?

It's our first clean sheet since Wembley lads. ;)

Yes I am very happy that we are where we are after losing so many players. However we put ourselves in such a good position that to waste it seems criminal. If DJ had done this everyone would be going crazy. Same goe sfor the lack of changes in recent matches everyone could see were going away from us. I know Malky took on a big job and he has done well. I genuinely like what I have seen of him. Attitude, demeanour, way he talks to the press etc. Im just a bit gutted. A couple of months ago I thought that if we got to the playoffs we would make it all the way. Just because of the attitude and the way we played for each other. Now the fight seems to have gone out of some of the boys a bit. Feel everyone, fans, manager & players need a lift. Was hoping 3 home games on the bounce could help provide it. Having said that its always possible we could go away to Brum and kick on from there. Heres hoping.

mark lawrenson on MOTD 2 last night said that norwich have used a core of players who have started almost all of their games and its difficult to maintain that effort throughout the whole season, we have played almost 50 or so high intensity matches throughout this season, and there hasnt been much rotation, so logic suggests that the form will fade as the season comes to the end..... i'm not blaming the players who are playing, or the manager as they've been fantastic, but at this stage of the season it would be nice to have a few options from the bench, but we've got a small squad...

that said, i remember reading a while back from mark hudson that tiredness cannot be the blame for this dip in form as they are all very fit players who train every day.... who to believe??

They are very fit players but so are the rest of the championship.

It's impossible to put a figure on but a few % difference between 100% and 95% for example could be the difference between miscontrolling that one chance or not tracking that one runner.
The players may still be 'fit' and I think they're still trying 100% but there's a sharpness missing. We had a zip to our passsing and movement that isn't there at the moment. Kiss, Ralls and Conway - all were heavily involved in our good form earlier in the season what have they done wrong?
If we don't beat Coventry I agree with the 'start developing for next year' theories that have been being banded about. There is no point in getting these players into the playoffs playing like this. Our xmas form would have been a problem for anyone in the playoffs but not the way we're currently playing.

I agree our squad is small but why restrict it even more by playing the same misfiring 11 every match?

Give some players a rest, see if the squad can get some results, bring the 1st teamers back sharper. Win, Win (hopefully), Win. Malky is really worrying me with how stubborn he's being with this starting 11.

commented on another thread, we've been crying out for natural wide men for some time. We finally sign one in LL and........

.......play him in the middle. <doh>

From what I heard of it, he was like a different player when he went wide right.

...so speaks the man who told us he visited the CCC for the first time last season...and then for only one game. Were you the one with the Malaysian flag, John?

Without doubt he looked a much better player on the right, but without being too negative, his performances in the middle really don't take much improving on.

Guys, while LL is certainly a tryer no way is he a right winger. Pace is not normally a word heard in connection with LL. He had one go at the full back in the second half, got nowhere so turned inside and passed off every time afterwards.
