Weather can't make it's bloody mind up here. Sun comes out, then it pishes of rain and it certainly isn't warm.

Anyway it's that time again. What are we all up to this weekend?

Weather permitting I'm taking my daughter to the Peterculter Gala.

    Sunday - nae idea yet.

Maybe continue with my autobiography. It's a winner.

According to my reliable sources you're to expect much more of the random weather, chap.

It's the Drumbrae Gala this weekend. Haven't been to a gala in years. Can you still win a goldfish?

I think that went out a few years ago.

I remember I won two goldfish down at Codonas when I was a wee boy. Named them Pinky and Perky. They died almost immediately and I buried them in the back garden with two lollipop sticks each shaped as a cross. I have always been an emotional chap.

    Man or woman?

Man and it'll be mid-life crisis and talk of buying a motor bike.

Woman and it'll be tears before the night's out.

Never been one for Birthday parties to be honest.

It's just another day and another year.

I did take my folks and the kids out for a meal on my 50th though and that was great.

    Ahhh, funfairs.

Remember the bent sights on the air rifles, the blunt darts that you had to throw at an over sized playing card (mounted on a teak backboard) and kids wandering around with Giant Teddy bears they had apparently won at one of these scam stalls, but who in actual fact were the children of the thieving Gypsy bastards.

    Happy days

Nah, the Giant Teddy bears were winnable alright. 48 goes at £1 a shot got you a synthetic nylon ted stuffed with flammable toxic waste, worth about 3 quid down the market.

I recall the Air Rifles were attached to the counter by a chain, as if anyone would nick one ffs.
