Nearly that time again. I`ll post the first fixtures later in the week. For the benefit of newbies the system is 2 points for a correct result with 1 extra point for a correct score. Everyone welcome to join in of course. No prizes, just a bit of fun. The introduction of Friday games could be a bit of a nuisance but they`re there and there`s nothing we can do about it. I don`t think adding them on the end would be practical. With one set of fixtures ending in the Friday and another lot starting the next day we would end up with threads for 2 fixtures, 2 results and 2 tables at the same time. 6 stickies. Serious clutter. The other alternative is to leave the Friday fixtures out but that doesn`t feel right somehow. We`ll try with putting them on the beginning first & see how it goes. Unless anyone has a better idea of course.
Shouldn't be a problem including Fridays. Just move the dead line forward. If folk miss it they've still got till sat first kick off to get the rest in.
That`s what I was thinking. I could put the Friday as the first fixture and a note in the heading to that effect. That might work ok.
Think that would go swimmingly. By the same token I think if somebody misses Sat too, they should still be allowed to post Sunday's matches so long as they haven't kicked off.
Another point, if anyone`s off on their jollies and doesn`t want to miss out, pm me your predictions in advance and I`ll add them in when I do the thread.
Post them if you want mate, not a problem so long as you make it clear whose predictions they are otherwise I might end up giving you three lots of points and that would never do would it? Someone (Tel?) started posting Lawro`s forecasts last season but stopped when it turned out he was really quite good.
