At the moment at work, im not to busy, so i was thinking. Last season we could have done better on pre-season, but this season under Adkins will be good because Adkins is a ex-physio, players will be in great shape going in to first game and though pre-season, the six pre-season are, Biel-Bienne v Southampton St. Gallen v Southampton Southampton v Werder Bremen Southampton v Athletic Bilbao Southampton v West Bromwich Albion Yeovil Town v Southampton. I was talking to my boss who is a saints fan, he's thinks W-D-D-L-W-W But i think D-W-D-W-L-W What do u think? i appreciate your opinion guys.
Cant see us beating west brom tbh nor werder maybe athletic we could beat, should win tonight and friday
No idea what to expect from the Swiss games, as long as we appear to put effort in and the team gells well, that's all that matters - it's early days with those matches. Avoiding a defeat would be a bonus. The Memorial cup matches will be tight I think as it's only 45 minutes a game, not a great deal of time to get into the swing of things. And a draw from the West Brom match and a win at Yeovil will be ideal before we take on Leeds on the first day.
Would be nice to win as many as possible, but can recall many times in Saints history when we've had brilliant pre-seasons and started the season proper slowly. In fact, we start every bloody season slowly. Now that would be a remarkable achievement for Adkins for us to win our first few games.
Didn't we draw one and lose one in Switzerland last year? Know nothing about either opposition side, but think we are better than last year.
FC Thun and Sochaux. Decent teams in the Swiss and French leagues respectively. I'm not surprised we lost with the players knackered froom the heavy schedule. Hopefully the few fans that have made the journey have something to see this time.
