It appears that for the first time under Mike Ashley and Alan Pardew we finally have a decent pre season organised.

We're part of a four team tournament which will be hosted by Schalke. Malaga will also take part along with one more team (yet to be confirmed who this will be). Should provide some decent opposition and nice to see we're looking a getting our pre season preperations sorted early for a change.

It's strange really because with a bit of summer spending, along with keeping Debuchy, Tiote etc and we'd all be a lot more positive. At the moment there's a lot of negativity around and I completely understand why. Just pointing out that if for a change we actually had a succesful summer window and a good pre season we could look ahead to next season with some hope instead of looking ahead to it with a complete lack of excitement.

No pre season tour? You know to actually try and do some commercial work. Or have we been scared off good following our two comical attempts at touring South Africa. That 4 team tournament should be a chastening experience for our lot. Look what the bastards have done to me, I'm turning into one of the negative bastards <grr>

Couple of decent signings and we'll be as excited as kids before Christmas.

Cheap tarts us; can always keep us sweet with a couple of shiny new baubles

Tickets might be cheaper now as a result of that malaysia air tragedy.

No direct flights there. Either fly to Dusseldorf and get a train or Amsterdam and train....hmm

    I think I'll have a mooch over.
Have family in Germany so could go for a visit.
I'll probably do the Amsterdam route though as there are direct KLM flights from NCL a few times a day.

Easyjet fly there now as well. Not as frequently though. Hopefully we'll parade some of our "signings".

Personally I couldn't get excited if we lined up Costa, Ibrahimovic and Dante. As long as Pards is at the helm all hope is lost.
