4th.July. - Celebrated in one of our ex-colonies for different reasons but means something far more important to the Tiger Nation. The start of pre-season training. So next week is the last full week before the pre-season training starts. So surely something must happen on the transfer front. All the talk of the 30th.June / 1st.July transition, well it is upon us next week. Who's in and out? On the rumour front the HDM postings seem to rely on sightings of possible incoming players shopping at Tesco and B+Q, thankfully we miss that on here but we are subject to 'Agent Speak'. Will now keep close check on the City OWS and hope/pray for a couple of star signings - nothing expensive - just players who, when named you can go YES!
i d suggest that you dont get excited.....aldebola and mckenna in.....no body out 'yet'...and a stack of loanees to follow from the most unexpected and unknown sources perhaps....oh and craig ***an wont be there!!!
Looking forward to next week and daily threads about Bullard being on his way, bet he's still here this time next year, for better or worse!
Link? Or shall I assume that's the story on the official site that says "Birmingham Home Fixture Changed"
I don't think there's any doubt that Adebola and KcKenna will be playing for City next season, it will be on the OWS before long.
A little googling has confirmed that we do currently have the 62 year old ex-Man City keeper as our goalkeeping coach. He joined in February, it must have passed me by.
I thought he'd gone though. Sure I read some interview with Kevin Pressman saying he was interested in replacing Joe.
Link seems dead but from google: HULL CITY: Garcia off the crutches and 'still trying to sort ... 1 Jun 2011 â New deal: Will Richard Garcia play for Hull City again when he recovers ... be interested in filling the void left following Joe Corrigan's ...
Unless Oxley has signed an extension he won't be in training either. Probably just as well we don't have any keepers under contract since there's nobody to train them, but I hope they're not planning on a playground football approach to goalkeeping. I'm not sure I could manage the season with Harper in goal.
