Pre-season tour to USA announced

Couldn't find this posted anywhere else, apologies if I've missed it. Announced about an hour ago, we'll be playing San Jose Earthquake, Portland Timbers and a game against unconfirmed opposition in 'a special game in Sacramento'.

I would hazard a guess at the 'special game' being against Kansas City, with a certain Mr Kamara playing for both sides

 

Let's hope they score more goals than they did on this season's pre season tour to Germany. Should have realised we weren't going to see many goals scored!!!!

 

Good shout on Kansas City, it really would seem odd to omit them otherwise. I'd rather we were testing ourselves against more than Championship opposition though, I must admit.

 

I'm sure there will be a full set of fixtures after this tie when we will play some top teams like the Ajax game

 

we did the same tour before this season....Its a good pre season warm up that you will enjoy.. everton has done the same tour before us and it was a good work out....

 

Didn't hucks play for San Jose?

One last cameo by the lege maybe?

 

I've got a sneaky feeling this might mean we've agreed a deal for Kamara... Part of it being we agree to play a friendly.

 

Not sure how I feel about that. I think we need to look at a higher calibre of player than him, as much as i like the guy.

Think tour is also part of getting are profile as a club higher. Noticed quite a few teams go to America. Its still a heavily watched sport over there and a PL team coming over will spark some interest. Probably moreso than Germany anyway.

 

True, yeah I realised that after I'd posted. Hopefully we can get another decent European side at Carrow Road this summer.

 

I thought a friendly with Kansas City was agreed when we first loaned KK, maybe im wrong? Thought i read it somewhere though??
