Thread dedicated to discussing our pre-season games. We beat Boreham wood last weekend and tonight we play NY Red Bulls in New York, before the Emirates cup kicks off next weekend, playing Benfica and Monaco. After that it's the curtain raiser for the League season with the Community Shield against Man City. Should be a good chance to see some of our new players in action. Clearly everybody is waiting to see Sanchez in an Arsenal shirt, but at the time of writing we also have Debuchy and Ospina to look at. Hopefully by the time we play City we'll have one or two more new players also. Live stream for the Red Bulls game here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEQNc2VwBcc KO is 5:00pm local time 10:00pm GMT
We aren't playing a lot of pre-season games this year, but we've made up for it by playing quality opposition, Benfica and Monaco will be good tests.
Team for tonight: Szczesny, Jenkinson, Hayden, Monreal, Gibbs, Ramsey, Arteta, Wilshere, Zelalem, Rosicky, Cazorla Subs: Martinez, Miquel, Bellerin, Coquelin, Diaby, Flamini, Olsson, Toral, Akpom

There's been plenty of talk about Zelalem over the last few days. He was impressive last pre-season and I'll be interested to see what he can do tonight.
Disappointing result, but a good run out for the squad players. It was good to see Diaby in action, he looked sharp. Zalelem did well in the first half and both Jenks and Bellerin played quite well. We were a bit unlucky not to score, but credit to the Red Bulls keeper for that. Poor defending for the goal, but with Hayden and Monreal at CB there was always likely to be a mistake somewhere in the marking. Onto the Emirates Cup next
Decent workout. Very much a preseason game. Expecting sharper performances as the starting XI return and players get match fitness
