The players are back off there holidays Thursday and SOD is raring to go. Fixtures have been released so I bet all the players have had an eye on that one. The best thing about Pre Season starting is that was when SOD expects most of our deals to happen. A few reports saying we will get Frank Fielding by the end of the week so hope that happens. Ive had a huge burst of optimism this morning and cant wait for the season to start. I think it will be a good un

Yep another one that is "expect this week" Can't see it though. Just wish that when a rumour grows the club come out and say yes or no. Would get the fans excited to actually here SOD say " Yes we are after Fielding and Williams and have been in talks with the pair" Then say how long he expects it to be until the deals completed.

To say yes we are in talks would be enough trying to predict when someone will sign if they are talking to other clubs is asking for trouble.

It's the usual Summer farce with players you dont actually want to retain turning up for pre-season training, and possibly with an indifferent attitude as well.

SOD's hands are still largely tied untill he gets offers for anyone who might want to leave. Only then will he be able to turn the cash into the new signings needed.

Fontaine was offered a contract to play for Norwich in the Premiership he asked what would be the salary and when he was told he would be paid what he was worth he walked out. When asked by a reporter from Bristol City TV why he walked out like that he was reputed to reply I can't live on 5p a week.
