Since the Europa qualifiers will in effect take the place of stronger friendlies, I expected something like this. Will probably feature quite a few reserve and academy players I reckon.
They're just the away games, they're exactly the sort of away games we normally have during pre-season.
Not bad but i would suggest that the Barnsley** game may get scrapped now with us being in the Europa League on 30th July. Harrogate for the kids looks good but no sign of Winterton yet ? Like going there. ** Especially if we have a long away trip to start with.
I doubt the club would have announced the Barnsley game today, if there was a chance they were going to cancel it.
Maybe. Dont see a problem if we are at home on the 30th but an away game in deepest eastern block country may mean a change. twt as always. Just hope that we have a Winterton game as well.
Barnsley is a game I'd definitely get to. Enjoyed it the last time we were there, even though City lost 2-0 and didn't go up. Plus never been to the Kit Kat Cresent before, so that might be interesting.
Harrogate is a nice day out and Baaaarnsleh is 20mins away. If Baaaarnsleh does go ahead it'll be a full 2nd string run out I'd imagine.
I am meaning that. The "enjoyment" part was because of the fans, and the atmosphere that we brought to the game. Yes, the result and performance was piss poor - but fan wise I'll never forget that day, except for 1 or 2 idiots at the end.
